Dear Parents,
With access to the internet and cell phones, students are not always safe.   The good thing about technology, if used properly,  can be a wealth of educational information at a student’s finger tips and cell phones can increase communication and be a safety tool. The bad thing is that the internet is also a wealth of inappropriate information and can increase communication with people  who  are predators of children, Students feel free to say things on the internet and phones that they might never say to someone in person. These web sites were recommended by our local police. If you think your student may be abusing the internet or phone, they may be experiencing a drop in grades, a desire to stay home from school more frequently (very tired, using phone or computer at night or wanting uninterrupted internet use during the day while parents are at work), become more secretive about their phone or computer use, negative changes in attitude, excess charges on your phone bill or internet, they may have a problem. These are good resources for you.Sincerely,
